Talent managers play a significant role in the entertainment industry. They are the mediators between creatives and key decision makers such as producers and movie studios, and can be incredibly beneficial in getting content deals because of their contacts. Writers can network with talent managers at conferences and industry events, but before you approach a talent manager or consider partnering with one, it's important to understand your strengths and weaknesses, per talent manager John Sill-up. He recommends getting feedback on your writing from your peers. A talent managers job is to help someone like a writer grow and find opportunities, and they can do this by playing off your strengths.
www.authorlearningcenter.com/.../WhatWritersNeedtoKnowBeforeApproachingaTalentManager.mp4

Talent managers play a significant role in the entertainment industry. They are the mediators between creatives and key decision makers such as producers and movie studios, and can be incredibly beneficial in getting content deals because of their contacts. Authors that hope to get their book adapted to the screen, or screenwriters that have a screenplay they hope to get produced into a film or television show should consider surrounding themselves with a knowledgeable support system, per talent manager, writer, and producer John Sill-up. Having a talent manager on your team can help you get more exposure for your work, while also connecting you with the right people.
www.authorlearningcenter.com/.../HowTalentManagersBenefitAuthorsandOtherCreatives.mp4
