In 2007 he edited a package of stories on the Pentagon&#39;s inability to procure military trucks, which ultimately attributed to the purchase of the vehicles and to lives being saved in combat. In 2009 he worked on a series of stories about retired generals and officers that were rehired by the Pentagon as advisers, but were plagued with major conflicts of interest.
