Young adults have a phenomenal commitment to the stories they’re reading, which can make writing for young adult audiences quite fun. The concern many people have is that they won’t use the correct language to relate to young people or that there’s a piece of technology that irrelevant to young adults. However, Walker calls that sort of thing “window dressing” compared to the real human emotion that young adults latch onto in really intense ways.
