Before she published her first novel, author Christina Hoag didn&amp;#39;t create a foundation or network for marketing her book, and she regretted it. &amp;quot;I didn&amp;rsquo;t even have a website, I had nothing, so I started too late.&amp;quot; Hoag advises new writers that it&amp;#39;s never too early to start networking with other writers and industry decision-makers. She recommends creating your website and connecting with your local writing community once you start the writing process. She advises new writers to keep in mind that establishing your network and fan base is a slow build. Even if you don&amp;#39;t feel qualified, take any opportunity that comes your way to continue to build awareness for yourself and your work. This foundation that you create early on will benefit you greatly as your writing career progresses.&lt;/p&gt;
