Now, she has learned that this was long after she should have started &ndash; she recommends building an audience years before the book is published. Finkelstein created a Facebook account for her work and, with the help of a publicist, Twitter and Instagram profiles as well. She has separate accounts for her fiction and nonfiction work because of the different audiences for each. Finkelstein&rsquo;s publicist also helped her get a newsletter started, which she sends out through an email list. The newsletter is a great way to share more broad and flexible content that builds and maintains readership.
