<p>Author branding, the practice of being as visible as possible in the marketplace, is a critical component for authors wanting to build a larger platform around their books. And, while social media is an important element of branding, authors can&#39;t just be visible online says The Creative Voice founder Carolyn Oei. Her experiences managing various PR projects for the Singaporean arts and culture scene have shown her that authors must also make the time and effort to attend events, speak at events, and contribute to the community.
