&lt;p&gt;Steve Piacente is the author of two award-winning novels and the recently released &lt;em&gt;Pretender&lt;/em&gt;, called by Kirkus Reviews: &amp;ldquo;Haunting in today&amp;rsquo;s political environment.&amp;rdquo; By day, Steve is Director of Training at The Communication Center in Washington, D.C., an associate professor at American University, and the owner of Next Phase Life Coaching with clients in the writing and communications industries. He also recently released &lt;em&gt;Your New Fighting Stanc&lt;/em&gt;e, a self-help book aligned with his coaching practice.
