She turned to the young people she knew through work and friends to get advice and feedback, and at some points even hired them to assist with her social media accounts. Now, Benko recognizes the significance of social media. All of the different platforms give authors a way to reach potential readers across the world. You can connect with people you would never have had access to without social media.
