Lavidge's Senior Interactive Art Director Steve Tansley advises young artists and aspiring book illustrators to take on all projects that come their way, including pro bono work. The best way to hone and enhance your craft is to keep working. Tansley recommends that artists continue to push themselves, even when something is outside of their comfort zone. Doing so will only improve their skillset, making them more marketable and prepared for the projects they choose to pursue in the future.
