As an author, keeping up with the trends in publishing is important. One question up for debate is whether to publish a print book or e-book. In this digital age, are print books going extinct? Charles Ardai, founder and editor of Hard Case Crime, talks about publishing books in paperback in an age when bookshelves are shrinking and the digital word is gaining steam. He says that print books have qualities that readers still desire. They have permanence, an artistic quality, and an archival quality that some readers still prefer over e-books. Physical shelves and bookstores are lessoning, but printed books still have a place in the marketplace and in the hearts of readers. Print books are not going extinct in the near future.

www.authorlearningcenter.com/.../BooksOnShelvesIntheDigitalAge.mp4
