Self-published author Guy Morris has a background in program management, so he felt confident that he could either handle or hire out all of the different tasks required when publishing a book. He says it's important to do your research when determining which publishing service providers are the best fit for you and your book. He also wants authors to realize that much of the book marketing will need to be done on their own, unless they specifically hire marketing help. One of the pros of self or indie publishing includes being able to control all of these decisions.
