While she received some positive feedback from publishers on certain elements of her story, the responses always ended in rejection. Watts turned the rejections into a positive by taking the constructive feedback she received and enhancing the parts of her story that were identified as having a weakness. With her improved manuscript in hand she ultimately decided to pursue a self-publishing path.
