For Rose, writing children&#39;s books was an accident which became a calling. While she initially worked with a traditional publisher, she now publishes independently so she has more control. With a traditional publisher you won&#39;t have to spend any money up front and the potential for income may be greater, but you will likely lose the vision for your work.
