&lt;p&gt;The query letter is the letter you send to agents to tell them about your project, and it should be no more than a page. Generally, it&amp;rsquo;s a few paragraphs describing the project and then a paragraph describing you. If it&amp;rsquo;s a work of fiction, if you&amp;rsquo;ve won any awards for your writing or had any publications in magazines, you should include all of that. If it&amp;rsquo;s a nonfiction query letter, then the final paragraph should be about your background and experience and how you are the perfect person to write about your topic.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
