&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Agents have the tough job of weeding through hundreds of queries and submissions each week, and deciding which authors and books to represent. Literary agent Eric Lincoln Miller says authors that have unique or trending ideas sometimes have an advantage, and if he sees potential with an author, he will provide guidance where he can. Other times, he must look at many different variables when evaluating an author and his or her book to determine the marketbility. He can&amp;#39;t write the books for authors, but he can try to lend support where he sees potential.&lt;/p&gt;
