Even a publishing deal isn&rsquo;t a guarantee of author success. It&rsquo;s easy to compare your favorite authors&rsquo; successes to your own failures. But it&rsquo;s unfair to compare their end results with the middle of your journey. One of the best ways to combat this comparison is to listen to the stories of successful authors and glean wisdom from them. Elle E. Ire, author and educator, gives advice on how to best overcome obstacles in the way between an author and a published book. &ldquo;Perseverance pays,&rdquo; says Ire. &ldquo;And persistence pays.&rdquo; She has gone through her fair share of setbacks during her publishing journey.
