Tips for Writing Children's Picture Books - video
Are you getting ready to write a children's book? Do you intend to both write and illustrate it? Eddie Gamarra, literary manager and producer at The Gotham Group, warns that may not be the wisest course. Unless you're a visual artist, Gamarra says, focus instead on writing the best book you can. If you're a writer, write. Let an illustrator take your story and work on the visual aspects. You should certainly be involved, but don't try and do work you're not suited to doing.

Thanks very much for producing a read article. I use a library computer and have no sound access so can't use all the listen and watch articles. I have already written and published two children's books and have another that I would like to do but I do not have friends that have children of the right age and all schools have such limited budgets that they won't buy books not on their reading list so I can't get the word out that I write good books. I have shown them to a retired editor that said "Keep writing. These are good. You have the knack." but if I can't sell I'm stuck. Any thoughts on this?
