&lt;p&gt;If your Book in a Year goal is to write and publish a fiction novel, this webinar is for you. Even though you may have a great idea for a story, it can be daunting to transform that idea into a full-length novel. In this first webinar, we will explore what you need to do to prepare for this project. We will look at narrowing your focus and defining your story idea, setting (reasonable) writing goals and how to stay on track. We will also cover tips for researching your story, identifying your primary audience and genre, and mapping out a basic outline or framework.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Jeanne Lyet Gassman&amp;#39;s debut novel, Blood of a Stone (Tuscany Press), received a Bronze 2015 Independent Publisher Book Award in the national category of religious fiction. Her short work has been nominated for Best Small Fictions and the Pushcart Prize. Additional awards include fellowships from Ragdale and the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Jeanne&amp;#39;s writing has appeared in The Manifest Station, Queen Mob&amp;#39;s Tea House, Hippocampus Magazine, Literary Mama, Barrelhouse, and Hermeneutic Chaos Literary Journal, among many others.
