&lt;p&gt;Author Bryan Beach follows what he calls the &amp;quot;Ernest Hemingway approach&amp;quot; in his own writing. When it comes to descriptions and setting, Beach believes that more is actually less. Including too much flowery language and words that are not commonly used might make you look pretentious to readers and may ultimately result in alienating them. He advises writers to keep it simple and direct when describing the setting, characters, and imagery in a story. Beach recommends finding inspiration and ideas on writing styles and settings by reading other writers&amp;#39; work, and then reading some more.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
