Sharing our writing with others can be a scary prospect. It’s both comforting and discouraging to hear that even successful authors are still uncomfortable when it comes time to share their work. “The more I write the more scared I am to share my work,” says author P.J. Hoover. Hoover discusses the value she finds in sharing earlier works with her agent but that she doesn't do that across the board with everyone. She’s found that the best people for her to share with are agents, critique partners, and within writing retreats.
