In the clip below, Joe Meno, author of &quot;Office Girl,&rdquo; shares his process for writing. He begins with a short story, specifically with his characters. &ldquo;I have this really specific idea of what a story is,&rdquo; Meno says. &ldquo;For me a story is about characters and their relationship to each other.&rdquo; After writing a short story, Menno turns it into a play. As he gets the play produced, he finally thinks about developing that idea into a novel.
