Author, goal coach, and project catalyst Debra Eckerling recommends journaling for writers and non-writers alike. She explains that writing down your goals and ideas can help make them a reality. For writers, journaling is an especially good method for figuring out your story, no matter your genre. Brainstorm on paper or computer for a week, month, or even longer. Keeping all of your notes and thoughts in one place will be extremely helpful when it comes time to write. You’ll have a resource to refer to and be able to hone in on exactly what you want to cover in your writing.
