Wu&rsquo;s most recent book is a composite novel made of ten adventures that were originally published separately as short stories. <em>A Temple of Forgotten Spirits</em> follows Jack Hong, who is following a mystical unicorn out of Chinese mythology. Along the way, Jack learns about Chinese-American history and his own identity. Wu says Jack is one his readers&rsquo; favorite characters. He&rsquo;s sarcastic, outspoken, and gets into trouble. Wu is deliberate about how Jack gets into trouble, however. Jack is never able to solve a problem with violence &ndash; any time he&rsquo;s in a violent altercation, he loses.
