He says, &amp;quot;there is a perfectly fine market for gay fiction,&amp;rdquo; but the challenge is making it accessible so non-gay audiences will also read these books. He believes the key to writing gay fiction is to make the connection to multiple audiences. Themes can be universal even if they seem specific because everyone deals with similar issues.&lt;/div&gt;
