Doug Stone and Shelia Heen, co-authors of &quot;Thanks for the Feedback,&quot; work together on the table of contents, each draft a chapter and then swap. Sometimes complete rewrites occur, but by trading off everything each person writes, the book takes on a unified voice. Many times neither writer can remember who wrote which piece. The co-authors also agree on a rule: they address the next worst thing to fix, so that the book can be evenly polished. They don&#39;t track how many revisions occur or keep score.
