&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When building a complex world or plot for your story, you might need to include some backstory throughout so that your readers understand what&amp;#39;s happening. Science fiction and fantasy author Chrome Oxide offers a word of caution with this. Too much Info-dumping and backstory will slow your story down, he says. Dialogue and action are what is most interesting to readers, so he recommends using your characters&amp;#39; conversations to explain situations and the world around them. You can sprinkle in some backstory throughout, but he advises avoiding long paragraphs of backstory.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
