Author and musician W. Timothy Wright goes all in when he's working on something that he's passionate about. With his latest book, The Valley Boys, Wright made the time to write whenever he wasn't performing with The Wright Brothers Band. Getting himself to stop the rewrite process and move forward with publishing was the most challenging part for Wright. Now that the book is published, Wright's focus has shifted to getting the story optioned for film. The Valley Boys shares the true story of a special high school basketball team that came together for an unbelievable and historic season in Indiana in 1958. Wright believes strongly that this story will translate well to film and continues to network and build connections in Hollywood. He's realizing the amount of work and people it takes to execute a project like this and has even considered writing the screenplay himself.

Thirty years ago, The Wright Brothers Band was featured in the movie Overboard starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Directed by Garry Marshall, this classic movie brought some notoriety to the band and continues to provide important connections for band member and author W. Timothy Wright. Through an event honoring Garry Marshall, Wright met a Hollywood insider and sent him his manuscript for his book The Valley Boys. A compelling book about a team being stronger than individuals, The Valley Boys shares the true story of a special high school basketball team that came together for an unbelievable and historic season in Indiana in 1958. Wright strongly believes this story will translate well to film and continues to network and build connections in Hollywood.
