Carl Prude Jr., an author, speaker, and president of The Work Life Company, wrote his first book during a difficult time in his life. He began writing Anchored in Light soon after his father passed away, and at the same time, he faced the possibility of being laid off from his job. There were a lot of distractions, but Prude says his writing was a reprieve. The book was one section of Prude’s life that he could control and enjoy. It was his getaway from the complications of life. In the end, the most rewarding part of the book writing process for Prude was simply finishing. To be able to write an entire book in the midst of life’s curveballs was a huge accomplishment.
