In fact, she fell into writing; she had a full-time job as an engineer and two children--it never dawned on her to pick up a new a new project. But with free time on her hands and having immersed herself in J.R.R. Tolkein&amp;#39;s Lord of the Rings trilogy, she wondered if she could create her own world. Hoover began to write for a few hours every night and soon realized she could. She credits her engineering background for maintaining discipline to keep moving forward.&lt;/div&gt;
