Many new authors encounter challenges at some point in the writing and publishing process. Obstacles such as lack of time, self-doubt, or writer's block are common, but can be overcome with the right approach. For cookbook author and Cake Bake Shop founder Gwendolyn Rogers, time management has been the biggest challenge. Working on the cookbook means time away from running and growing her award-winning, globally recognized business, building her brand, and planning for the future. The key to keeping the momentum going for her cookbook has been the support of her editor and publisher. With an encouraging and understanding team in place, Rogers has been able to give her business the attention it needs to continue thriving, while still making progress on her cookbook, which she is hoping to release in 2019.
