To successfully break through these barriers, you need to learn to be in control of the emotions, as author and teacher Shiny Burcu Unsal explains. These negative feelings will influence your behaviors if you let them, ultimately leading you to be ineffective. Unsal teaches techniques on how to overcome these types of emotions in her executive coaching classes and in her personal transformation self-help book &lt;em&gt;You Are a Star! Shine!&lt;/em&gt;. She recommends talking back to the voices in your head that are fueling the self-doubt and fears. Let them know that you are in control. A fun technique that she teaches her students is the &amp;quot;California blow-off&amp;quot;, a practice that involves telling the negative voices that you are ignoring them and sending them away. Only you have the power to dictate your emotions and how you react - positive thinking and self-confidence can go a long way.&lt;/p&gt;
