To overcome writer’s block, bestselling author, TEDx Speaker, and special advisor Dr. Mark Goulston looks back to middle-school math class for inspiration. He recalls solving simultaneous equations – by figuring out the value of x and y, for example, you would in turn be able to find z. Applying this to human nature, Dr. Goulston explains that we either think, feel, or do. So if you’re stuck in thought, go out and try to feel something or take action and do something. Lean into those other experiences and activities in order to free up where you are otherwise feeling stuck.
