What makes a good book? For author Rob Wingerter it is a combination of two essential things. First, he believes that writers must be very passionate about the topic on which they are writing. If you write without passion your work will likely not resonate with readers and it will fall flat. Just because you have the knowledge or credentials to write about a certain topic doesn't mean that it's the best avenue for you to pursue. Second, Wingerter recommends that writers research the marketplace to ensure there is a need for their book. Make sure your approach on the topic is not a "me too" - find your niche. Without demand or a unique offering it will be very difficult to build an audience. Wingerter strongly believes it takes a blended foundation of both passion and need for the best results and recommends that writers keep these two elements in mind when developing their book plan.
