Becoming a screenwriter for television animation is a dream job for many authors. But there's a lot of competition and a high demand for perfection in the industry, which makes the show's editor highly selective in who they deem worthy of writing a script. So how do you get your foot in the door? Author and screenwriter Neo Edmund discusses the importance of networking when breaking into screenwriting for TV animation. He says that there are two ways to break into screenwriting for TV animation: independently or through networking. You can break into the animation industry independently by creating your own comic, putting it online, and building a following. If you are successful, the studios will come to you. To break into the established animation screenwriting industry, it's about who you know. The animation industry is tiny, so you have to actually form friendships with people in the industry. Go to Hollywood networking events and begin forming relationships to get started.

www.authorlearningcenter.com/.../BreakingIntoScreenwritingForTVAnimation.mp3
