She participated in numerous courses, workshops, and conferences to learn both the craft and the business of writing. Much of what she has learned over the years was self-taught, so when she was asked to pull together a proposal for teaching her first workshop she knew exactly what should be included to benefit new writers. Lyet Gassman now teaches creative and genre-based writing classes along with classes on how to get published.
