I have self published a childrens book through Author House. I would like to try to get my book traditionaly published through scholastic. I need a literary agent and I am having a hard time sifting through all the junk websites to find a quality one. My book is titled "Dreams: overcoming your challenges". I am a father of three little girls and one of my little girls Ryleigh had a C-5 spinal cord injury at the age of three. She was a quadreplegic at first, but through hundreds of therapies and hard work she has control from the waist up. She is six years old now. I wrote my book to inspire her and other special needs children that they can still accomplish so many things. I have seen my book bring tears of joy to peoples eyes that do not even know my daughter. I hired a professional artist from the Ukrain to do extrodinary illustrations for my book. I need a quality literary agent to help me with my books journey.
There are a lot of negitive reviews I see online about Author House. I am wondering if I have made the right choice of choosing them. I am hoping that as the senior Vice President of Author Solutions, Mr. Kieth can help ease my worries on that subject.
Respectfully,
David Cheramie
The book I'm getting published at the moment is an art book of my own art its based on my own experience of mental illness the people I would like to see is anyone but the obvious are mental illness and art fans but there is not much writing in the book its a lot for me to experience self publishing because I have never done this before any advice would be appreciated.
I have written a book on Islam titled "The Mysteries of Allah And Hos Muhammad" but i have not recorded much sales success. Although, the cost of doing promotions (as suggested by the Publisher) are astronomical. Do you have advice for me please?
