Enjoyed! My first book is already published via Supported Self-Publishing, but your guidelines will help me with publishing Books 2 and 3 of the series. Two things I have not done are book launching events and marketing via blogs or internet. These things I hope to do with the next books, and still this book, too. Thanks!

Great article, Keith! I have completed a manuscript that is in its final edit and will be publishing in the near future. The book will be announced in late April 2012. I think you have comprehensively covered the bases of what is needed to accomplish this task of being an author. I began writing a story for my kids a number of years ago and the manuscript took on a life of its own. And now (its hard to beleve!) I will be holding a book in hand very shortly. You make a great point - many are the starters, few are the finishers. I now have another problem - I just got together ideas for the second book in the series - and I begin writing this evening. So much for the finish. I am starting all over again!
