Don't assume that agents or producers will know what the movie pitch is from your book. There's a lot of wiggle room within a book. To have a successful movie pitch, you must take the guessing game out of what the movie will be and show them your vision. Once you have a well-defined pitch, you also need a script. The Drakes also suggest preparing a look book, which is a short, easy to browse book that uses images, visually defines the characters, and gives a sense of the overall tone of the movie.
