Adapting Your Novel Into a Screenplay - video

Media Arts Instructor Dan Watanabe talks about how to turn a book into a screenplay. The author needs to turn a character's inner monologue into concrete actions that will communicate the same feelings to the audience. Since a movie doesn't have a constant stream of thought from the characters, an author must visualize how those characters would act to convey those thoughts on screen.

  • Yeah it is very difficult but If your write uses the five senses (touch, taste, smell, sight and sound) about the key scenes or the scenes you believe captivates the reader then you may have a chance to write more compelling novels.
