When author, writer, and producer Joel Eisenberg’s fantasy series, The Chronicles of Ara, was optioned for a TV miniseries, he knew the adaptation would not perfectly replicate his books. Luckily, he was able to be involved in the writing process so that he could fight for what he believed in and make sure certain themes would remain in the TV series. Eisenberg says his experience with the network and writers was an overall positive one. In the end, the project went into turnaround, meaning the network could no longer create the adaptation most likely due to financial restraints. Eisenberg plans to soon re-pitch the story to other networks in hopes of receiving another option.
