How Writers Can Engage and Sell Books When Speaking at Events

Author, editor, and owner of The Christian Communicator Susan Titus Osborn has attended more than 150 writing conferences, where she speaks about Christian writing and publishing. At these events, she sells her books and informational pamphlets. The events are a great way to promote her works, because she can draw people in during her talk and make them curious about what else she has to say about the topic. Osborn says if someone already has a large speaking platform, this is a great opportunity to write and sell personal experience stories; people are ready to hear more from the speaker, and will be excited to purchase a book written by that person.
