Marketing Must-Haves for New Authors - podcast

Books don't sell themselves, says author Carolyn Howard-Johnson, who shares marketing strategies for new writers. What's needed: a good query letter that reveals something about you, the author, whether you've been published or not. Describe what you've gained from experiences, like conferences, classes and details that reveal your interest and ability to promote your work in the future. Authors have to market their work, so be prepared to invest in a media kit and marketing basics. Branding, she says, is everything.

  • Thanks Carolyn, where do I get a media kit and what does it include? Bella
  • Thanks so much Mrs. Johnson, Question: Who do we send querry letters to? Your video encouraged me to one day formulate a good paragraph about myself. I was wondering should it be a continuous thing or just one that I use over and over? Marketing is everything! Please look into my first book titled Social Climax.
