Hi Robert -- Seth was kind enough to allow us to interview him for the ALC, but he's not on staff here so he doesn't personally reply to the comments. For privacy purposes we don't share the contact info of our experts... but you can follow Seth on twitter at @ThisIsSethsBlog and @ProjectDomino.

Hi Stuart - congratulations on writing a THIRD book. That's amazing, as writing one good book is hard enough. ;) I think it's always good for us to be reminded that we should follow our instincts and that we don't have to (and can't) please everyone. Find those who like what we write and stick with them. If you want more info on building a following, we have lots of content on things like getting twitter followers. If you search on Twitter here on ALC you'll see stuff on creating communities, hosting contests, driving sales, even what to tweet about. Also, you might want to search on promote or promotion to learn about promoting your book (which helps build a following) and you might also search on "social media". We have pages of content on that topic as well. When you take it all together you'll get a nice well rounded look at how to build your tribe. Lastly, search for Michael Hyatt here on the ALC. We interviewed him about his new book"Platform: Getting noticed in a noisy world". We got a number of good clips from the interview and I personally find him very inspirational and full of info about building tribes.

Seth is a fountain of great info! It's reassuring to know it's ok to follow your own path and I really agree with him that focusing on niche markets that aren't reached by lots of writers is a great way to succeed.
