Recent high school graduate Michael has always planned his life and followed those plans. However, his 1971 move to Dallas from small town West Texas presents unforeseen challenges. Choosing an apartment near Love Field, a location where many flight attendants live, Michael suspects that finding dates will be easy. Not so. Even his alternate Plan B isn't working out for him. However, a missed turn on the way home from school leads him to what seems to be a perfect solution.
