Teresa obtained her degree in Botany, in 1973. She taught biology in schools, but her main love was teaching yoga and gardening.
Yoga practices led to become a trained spiritual healer in her 40’s. She received a diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling to help her properly deal with issues that arose in healing sessions. She is now retired and enjoys spending time in her garden and working on her writing.

Teresa: A guru inspired me! I was not a writer and had no intentions to be one. I trained to teach yoga, but for the first 15 years it was purely physical, with relaxation thrown in. I threw up a prayer to God to make my classes more spiritual.
In my meditation a Guru appeared and he promised to help me. He dictated stories into my head, I was just a scribe. The book is spiritual, but non-denominational, in that it recognizes that all religions are mankind’s ways of reaching to the Highest.
My latest book is a new edition of my Yoga Stories, called The Great Little Book of Yoga Stories. I had no idea how to do publish my book. Then I stumbled across the ALC. When they offered me the Book in a Year program, everything fell into place. The monthly advice was a source of useful instructions and inspiring lectures.
The ALC is my go-to for advice. I just put the subject in the search box on the webinar section and something useful always comes up.
I am still reading everything I can about marketing. The ALC is my go-to for advice. I just put the subject in the search box on the webinar section and something useful always comes up. The sea of information provided by ALC gave me up-to-date advice on how to write, edit, publish and market my book. It doesn’t matter if it takes you more than a year to finish your book. It took me longer, but you just carry on making progress at your own pace. The ALC is with you every step of the way.
The Great Little Book of Yoga Stories is a collection of short stories illustrating the ‘rules of life’, similar to the Ten Commandments in the Bible. They are about truth telling, nonviolence, self discipline and other important values. The stories are told in the voice of an Indian guru who appeared to the writer. He told of incidents and happenings in his life as a boy and a young man, in a light hearted, amusing and sometimes poignant way - stories to make you smile and learn. They give the yoga teacher a very useful and easy way of teaching yoga philosophy without getting bogged down in ancient texts. They are suitable for both adults and children; this is a book to treasure and return to for inspiration and a smile.
