I have written some migrant stories. Please advise me the best way of finding the right agent.
Best thing you can do is use the search bar at the top of the page and type in "finding an agent". It will give you a listing of all the great resources including recorded webinars we have to help you understand the process for approaching an agent.
Thank you Keith!
Very interesting video. I joined Archway Publishing for assistance with my books. I haven't been contacted by my representative yet. Hopefully, I will hear from them next week. It's always been difficult trying to get out into the world of publishing. I just want to focus on writing and let a publisher handle all the necessary things to get my work out in the world. These days everyone's trying to take advantage. I was simply going to give up, but I can't stop thinking about stories I would like to see out there. So. I will give it one more try with this company. Also, how do you get the managing permission to be able to invite others to my author space?
Also to invite people to your Author Circle, you have to set up a book project and make sure you profile is complete including telling what type of book you are publishing. The ALC will suggest members who have worked or are working in a similar genre. In addition you can check profiles of people who you think might be interested and send them an invite from your author circle. Let me know if that all makes sense. Thanks.
Glad you liked the video and it was helpful. I know some people at Archway so I will make sure they know they need to reach out to you. And you should absolutely push through and finish your book. A book will impact the lives of people you will never meet and travel to places you will never go. There is still great power in books. .
A very helpful video. Publishing has become a digital format now! It's like going to school with no guarantees. Good video.
This is one of the most popular topics I have ever presented. Glad you found it helpful
I’m Deaf and this video has no captions. Please fix that, it’s super frustrating.
What are your thoughts on Dorrance publishing?
I know they have been around for quite a while, but I have not had any direct experience with the firm. Nor do I know anyone who has worked with them.
I've been in contact with them, but even though they are very nice and professional I just don't have the money to pay for what I think my book deserves. I mean 8,000 dollars is a lot in my world.
