Hello--I posted several hours ago, wondering if I could get in possible hot water when I first wrote that my ex-husband said: "I forbid you to go to school!" That is true--however, he could dispute it, denying he ever said such a thing. I just revised it saying, 'I announced my happy news to my husband who was not at all pleased! ....... Would this be less defamatory should he take offense? (I chose not to quote him, but just show that he was not supportive. any thoughts?
This exact question is why I am considering writing a fictional memoir. Can I have a resource about that idea?
