Industry changes have made it one of the best times to be an author, but also one of the most confusing given all of the different publishing options available.

In this session, Author Learning Center President Keith Ogorek will review the four primary publishing paths and explain the benefits and challenges of each option. Attendees will learn about the DIY, General Contractor and supported self-publishing paths. Plus, you will learn what it takes to pursue traditional publishing. You'll discover how these book publishing options differ from another, the amount of responsibility and control you have with each, and ultimately, which path may be the best fit for you, your budget, and your book.

About the Presenter:
As an industry thought leader, Ogorek has helped drive a number of significant innovations in the self-publishing industry and is featured in the book, 'Innovation--How Innovators Think, Act and Change Our World'. He has helped launch and operate supported self-publishing imprints for traditional publishers and Fuzeframe, which identifies and options self-published books for development in Hollywood. He has authored five books, and has written a number of helpful white papers including the popular '4 Paths to Publishing' and 'Three Phases of an Effective Book Marketing Campaign'. You will also find him speaking at leading industry events such as GenreLA, The Singapore Writer’s Festival, Havana Book Fair, the Florida Writers Conference, and most recently, the Latinx Storytellers Conference. In addition, he is a regular webinar presenter for The Author Learning Center.
