Thanks for your comments. I have written a book and I was clear on what I would be writing but I found - it was just 112 pages - I got my tenses mixed up and was redundant and didn't know how to handle that. I went to 'find' but that didn't always work. I like what you said about suffering with the hero (I think I did that, my story was true about mental illness) - I love creating things and then telling them. I do what you said, 'just do it'. I personally loved what Stan Lee shared about "The Rules" and his thoughts on great musicians or classic writers like Shakespeare. My father was an artist. When I was a kid, my older sister took one of my father's oil paintings in to her high school English Class where the point of the class was to observe his painting and then write about what the artist was trying to convey to his audience. My father was so haunted by the thoughts of those papers later in his life, he actually made a pencil drawing of the same exact image only with the "corrections" he felt important to make to "tell the story correctly". I have often wondered if an author, poet, musician or other medium creator had ever experienced something like that. Thank you Sir for sharing with us here. My first book is in the design coordination phase.
