Julia Whitehead on the Founding and Mission of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library - video

When Julia Whitehead first founded the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library she imagined a place where people could learn about Vonnegut's life story and how it influenced and inspired his writing career. What started as an opportunity to honor Kurt Vonnegut and his legacy, turned into a significant resource for the writing community in Indianapolis, Indiana. Within two years of opening, the museum expanded its programs to include writing workshops and contests, with a special focus on supporting veterans. Vonnegut spoke often about the importance of creation and Whitehead hopes that visitors and  fans leave the museum feeling inspired to create.
